Ackerman Union | UCLA Dining
ASUCLA’s goal for the project was to create an upbeat, light and open venue for the students and faculty. The existing facility was fully upgraded and redesigned to support dining, studying and entertaining on campus.
A new addition to the space is a large multi-monitor television to showcase athletic events and to catch the latest news. The project updates the existing spaces into a active food thoroughfare within the Ackerman Union Building. Careful attention was paid to capturing existing daylighting and specifying new lighting to create a vibrant and engaging space that encourages users to congregate, socialize and study.
