BIM
Stenfors Architects provides technical services for BIM, 3D computer modeling, code research, peer review and shop drawings. We work with the owners and construction teams to develop and technically advance how complex buildings are fabricated, coordinated, and built. Jeffrey Stenfors and his firm have been widely recognized for the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and computer modeling as a tool for aiding programming, design, and construction. This began fifteen years ago with the computer modeling work for the Los Angeles Cathedral, the Disney Concert Hall, the Skirball Museum and as architect of record for the Getty Villa West Campus.
The firm currently uses REVIT for the design and construction documentation for all of its projects. The firm works with the construction industry to provide shop drawings and BIM services. This has included modeling of complex structures that cannot be drawn sufficiently with two dimensional representations.
