Physical Geography Lab

This recently completed Geography Laboratory is located in the basement of Bunche Hall. The Geography Department required a teaching lab space in which they could use Perchloric acid, which is highly corrosive. To accommodate this, safety measures were taken within the laboratory as well as a fume hood with direct stainless steel exhaust to the roof to dispel chemical fumes. The exhaust was carefully routed up through several floors of Bunche Hall. The project required the technical skill to create a functional laboratory with exceptional requirements from an underutilized basement space and within a tight budget.
