Wildwood School Study
Wildwood’s inimitable academic success and desire for greenspace led to SAA's assignment to fashion their unique educational approach into a new structure.
The school building is compacted to preserve landscape and minimize the building footprint. The classrooms are cloistered around botanical courtyards. The building takes advantage of prevailing ocean breezes and natural light throughout. The naturally ventilated parking is hidden below allowing a landscaped perimeter. This landscaped edge provides a natural security barrier without the use of fences. The zeppelin main entrance to the south exhibits a public theatre and the school lobby.
